March, the time for frollicking leprechauns, pinching, and National Panda Day (Mar 17). There are a few other things to look forward to in March, like our next book walk. “When Spring Comes” – from Caldecott Medalist and Newbery Honor author Kevin Henkes and the acclaimed painter Laura Dronzek. This book will make for a good read around our Main Street.
Tuesday, March 2nd, our K-State Extension Office will be hosting a virtual class for those who are new to medicare. Adults ages 65+ who are near retirement age are the target audience. If you’d like to enroll you can call (913) 294-4306 . The classes will be March 2nd 2:00pm – 3:30pm and another session 6:00pm – 7:30pm.
Saturday, March 27th The Mound City Holiday Mart Spring Edition!
The Holiday Mart will last 9am – 2pm at the Linn County 4-H Building. Applications are due March 20th. Booths are 10X10 for $20. Tables, chairs, and electricity are provided. The day to set up your space is March 26th 4:30pm – 6:30pm & March 27th 7:30am – 8:30am. You can pick up an application from the K-State Extension Office.
